The Nokia X2-02 is Official

Nokia has officially announced the X2-02, a dual-SIM budget friendly phone with some great music features. Whilst this latest offering won’t compete with the smartphones of today it looks to be a great music phone for the price.

There is a FM radio, MP3 player and dedicated music keys as well as a recording capability, built-in loudspeaker and 32GB of memory for storing tons of music. The special audio processing feature delivers great sound clarity and there is a “Play via Radio” feature that allows you to record songs from the radio. You can create playlists and share your music with other mobile phones or play tracks through your home music system or your car stereo.

The SIM manager function allows you to allocate settings to up to 5 SIM cards and you can switch between cards without having to switch the phone off.

The handset includes Facebook and Twitter clients allowing you to access your social networks straight from the homescreen and even though there is no 3G capability the Nokia Browser has been optimised to give a speedy web browsing experience.

The Nokia X2-02 is not going to tempt users away from the smartphones that are dominating the market, but if you want a budget phone and want to use multiple SIM cards to manage costs then this is the ideal phone. There is no official release date yet but as many handsets will be launched next year at the MWC it’s a safe bet the X2-02 could be amongst them.
