The countdown to Windows Phone 7 continues!

The upcoming ‘live date’ (21st Oct) of the Microsoft Windows Phone 7 OS gets closer and with it the range of handsets supporting the new operating system grows.

The HTC 7 Trophy is heading Vodafone’s way and this gaming focused smartphone boasts Xbox Live support, HD-video and of course 3.5G Web browsing. Other boastful features include high fidelity sound with SRS WOW HD virtual surround sound, apps & game downloads via the HTC Hub and Social Network integration.

Next, the Dell Venue Pro is to be picked up by Three and offers 3.5G Web browsing, a selection of Hubs from Social Networking to gaming and a 5-megapixel camera. Messaging fans will the love the slide down QWERTY keypad and the 4.1-inch AMOLED display is made for media enjoyment. The Dell Venue Pro isn’t expected to be available on the live date but will make it before Christmas.

Non related Microsoft Windows Phone 7 news sees Samsung announcing the Samsung Galaxy K, an Android v2.2 powered smartphone with 3.5G browsing, a 5-megapixel camera and AMOLED display.
