Sony Ericsson now Sony Mobile Communications

It’s now official; Sony Ericsson is now Sony Mobile Communications following the purchase of Ericssons 50 percent share in the company by Sony. The deal was to be completed in January but took a bit longer than anticipated but now all is finished and the new wholly owned subsidiary of Sony will be releasing handsets with just the Sony name on from now on.

If the first flagship handset release is anything to go by, then Sony Mobile could be one to watch for the future. The Sony Xperia S is a super powerful phone bursting with more top technology than you could shake a stick at.

The stunning style of the phone coupled with so many high-end features make this phone a contender for the best phone of 2012, with a decent chance of beating the Nokia Lumia 900.

Android 2.3 (upgradeable to Ice Cream Sandwich, a 12.1-megapixel camera and PlayStation certification are just some of the good bits and to learn more visit our Xperia S product page where you can compare mobile phone deals.

So now Sony is speeding off under its own name, here’s hoping for more great stuff such as the Xperia S to come our way from the newly named phone manufacturer.
