Sony Ericsson Announces Mix Walkman and Txt Pro Phones

Sony Ericsson has officially announced two new handsets that will be available later this year. The Mix Walkman phone is a music-orientated handset with some nifty new features added to the Walkman player. Zappin plays the chorus of each song as you browse your track list and the karaoke mode lowers the vocal on the track so you can belt out the lyrics to your favourite songs. The phone features exchangeable coloured bands so you can change the look of the phone to suit your mood or outfit. Other features include a 3-inch WQVGA screen, a 3.2-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi for fast web browsing in hotspot areas.

The second phone announced was the Sony Ericsson txt pro with similar looks to the Xperia Pro, the handset has a slide out four row QWERTY keypad and a 3-inch WQVGA screen. The handset is designed for social networking with an integrated friend’s application that allows you to select 5 friends for easy access directly to their Twitter and Facebook feeds. The txt pro also supports Wi-Fi for fast web browsing and the full QWERTY keypad is bound to appeal to messaging addicts.

Both handsets also utilise the four corner UI as seen in the Xperia mini range and they should both be available to purchase later this year.
