The first thing you notice about the Ascend G7 when you pick it up is the superb feel of the quality and build of the smartphone. The phone is super thin at just 7.6mm with a metallic body and all metal back cover which makes it feel like a premium phone. The Huawei Ascend G7 smartphone weighs in at 165g so it isn’t the lightest phone in its class but this almost adds to the feel that you are holding a quality device.

The phone has a dual antenna built-in to utilise smart switching technology taking you from one type of service to another without interruption. This will come in handy when moving away from a Wi-Fi signal onto the mobile network when chatting over Skype or other service.

The phone can be used in different modes such as Private Mode which allows some of your data to be hidden from the other people who may use your smartphone.

The Ascend G7 also includes some gesture control features such as allowing you to re-position the on-screen keyboard by tilting the phone or opening dialogue boxes with a shake of the handset.

Huawei has put a hard hitting battery into this smartphone, the Ascend G7 has a 3,000mAh battery, which will delight many smartphone users that find the lack of battery capacity a real annoyance in their current handset. This beefy powerhouse will give you up to 600 hours of standby time and 1.2 days of heavy mixed usage.

The 64-bit processor further enhances the battery efficiency and Smart Energy Saving Mode will deliver up to another 24 hours of standby from just 10% of the battery’s remaining power.
