Samsung Galaxy S8 – Two variants to be launched with Viv AI Assistant

The rumours about the Samsung Galaxy S8 have been gaining momentum, thanks in part to the issues with the Note 7 giving rise to speculation of an early release of the next Samsung flagship. The latest rumour hints that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature the Viv AI assistant and will come in two variants.

The two rumoured models of the Samsung Galaxy S8 are expected to be a 5.1-inch curved Super AMOLED model and a 5.5-inch 4k display model with a dual camera configuration on the back.

Other features expected to be seen on the latest Samsung release include the Snapdragon 830 SoC, the chipset that will be manufactured using a 10nm process.

Samsung Viv AI Assistant

The recent acquisition of Viv labs by Samsung has sparked the speculation that the S Voice assistant that has been featured on the Galaxy range for some time will be dropped in favour of the Viv AI Assistant. The Viv Labs were behind Siri, and their latest AI assistant will bring much more improvement to the current digital assistant on the S7 and we expect this to be a big talking point during the product launch.

Samsung has not confirmed if they will be bringing the launch forward so if it happens in March as usual or earlier we can still expect lots of rumours and leaks in the mean time.
