Samsung Galaxy Note Preview

With the success of the Samsung Galaxy S and S2, Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Note. This device is like having a smartphone that also has the features of tablet – a mini-tablet. The core feature of this handset is the massive 5.3-inch HD touchscreen that comes with an integrated stylus. The stylus makes it convenient to make notes and create drawings; a useful tool that many seem to forget about.

 

The Galaxy Note will be powered by a fast dual-core 1.4GHz processor with 1GB of RAM, a choice of a 16/32GB models and a free 2GB micro SD card included for extra storage space. It will run on Android OS v2.3 (Gingerbread) but might be upgraded to v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The handset will have the same 8-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash as on the Galaxy S2. It will also have HD video at 1080p quality. A front 2-megapixel camera can be used for video calling over 3G.

 

Other features that will be included with this smartphone are HSPDA+ for fast data connection, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 for faster transfer, NFC connectivity, TV output support and the latest Flash support. Apart from that, the Galaxy Note will be equipped with the most powerful battery in a smartphone with the highest talk time and standby time.

 

The official release date of the Samsung Galaxy Note in the UK is expected to be by this year November. The price tag on the device is rumoured to be on the high side. Whatever the price, this smartphone has a lot to offer with great features, a massive touchscreen and a long lasting battery.
