Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Set for August Launch

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has been the subject of some speculation recently with the anticipated launch later in the year, but now it looks like we won’t have to wait quite so long.

According to MK News a “source familiar with the matter” has revealed that Samsung intends to unveil the next Android smartphone (or is it a tablet) at the IFA 2012 in August.

The latest Note is expected to have an even bigger screen at 5.5-inches but it will not feature the UBP (unbreakable plane a next step towards flexible displays).

A quad-core processor is expected to be under the hood as well as Android 4.1 and the camera may be improved to a 12-megapixel resolution compared to the 8-megapixel one on the current model.

So after the success of the Galaxy S3 Samsung hope the next Galaxy Note 2 will help them with their battle against iPhone makers Apple and the other manufacturers to remain top of tree.
