Nokia N8 Preview

Created with a keen eye on absolute perfection the Nokia N8 has one of the richest feature sets so far from this year’s superb collection of smartphones. A powerful optical package sees on-demand Web TV from sites such as National Geographic and CNN among many others and can be enjoyed on the 3.5-inch OLED display in 16:9 nHD widescreen. For enjoying media features with friends and family the high definition HDMI port allows a cable to be connected to a TV or projector and Dolby Digital Plusbrings a crisp and 3D styled audio experience when connected to a home theatre sound system.
Professional images can be captured with the finest of details thanks to the 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, xenon flash and a photo/video-editing suite. To ensure the N8 is top of its class Nokia has also included high-end features such as face recognition, geo-tagging, music/text & image overlaying on captured footage and a variety of transitional effects for making the perfect slideshow.

The Symbian v3 Operating System provides a widget based menu system with 3 customisable home screens that rotate with a simple swipe of the finger. Updates from social networking sites are provided in a live feed on the home screen and a dedicated SNS widget allows 1 or all of your social networking sites to be updated at once. A refined 3G HSDPA Internet connection provides a gateway to a multitude of downloadable applications from the Ovi
store and the inclusion of a Stereo FM radio and the Nokia Music Player ensures there’s plenty to keep you entertained when offline. A full range of connectivity options has been engineered into the compact and sleek design
with WI-FI, Bluetooth, push email and GPS with Ovi maps providing turn-by-turn navigation on foot or by car.

The Nokia N8 has all that is needed to impress even the most demanding of users and is set to be the highlight of this years new releases.

With the intense competition in the smartphone sector right now Nokia will probably keep the price as low as they can, this means that many networks will most likely offer a free Nokia N8 on contract.
