Motorola Moto Z2 Force Review

The Motorola Moto range has been delivering some superb new innovations with Moto Mods and great phones, now we take a look at the latest model in the Moto family. This Motorola Moto Z2 Force review takes a look at the Moto range’s newest device and I have to say I am impressed.

Motorola Moto Z2 Force Design

The Moto Z2 Force has been adorned with a shatterproof display, which will be welcomed by anyone who has had the heartache of a cracked display. The 5.5-inch AMOLED screen is excellent in all lights and performs excellently when gaming or browsing.

The body is constructed with 7000 series aluminium and while this isn’t drop-proof it is very durable and the phone feels solid and quality in the hand.

The phone weighs in at just 143g and the sleek design has a slight bump on the back for the camera lens.

Moto Z2 Force Features

The Motorola Moto Z2 Force has plenty of features with Android on board you get all the familiar apps you could need such as Chrome, Gmail and YouTube and of course the Play store has many more available for download.

The 2.35Ghz processor and 4GB RAM make the phone performance slick and fast and usual daily use showed no sigh of lag or slow loading of apps.

There is a USB Type-C port for headphones, although you do get a 3.5mm adapter should you need it.

Moto Touch is on board and this feature allows you to set up gestures for opening up your favourite apps and notifications can be read without having to unlock the device. There is a fingerprint sensor for device security and Bluetooth 5.0 is on board which covers a much further range and increases data capacity.

moto mods acessories

The Moto Z2 Force is compatible with the new Moto Mods accessories that have been seen previously so if you want to add to the device you can buy a projector, 360 degree camera, a stereo speaker and more.

The battery may seem small at 2,730mAh when you consider more and more handsets being released with big 4,000mAh power packs but performance is efficient and can deliver all day use of normal activities. Motorola has chucked in a 15W TurboPower charger so you can get hours of usage after minutes of charge.

Motorola Moto Z2 Force Camera

Motorola has added a dual 12-megapixel lens onto the Z2 Force and this setup allows for some interesting image options. The two images combine to create beautifully detailed shots and you can use Selective Focus to blue the background or certain areas of the photo. Selective Black & White is a fantastic effect where you can keep subjects in colour and set everything else to black and white for beautiful shots.

Other features of the camera include Pro mode so you can tweak all sorts of settings and Phase Detect Autofocus brings the subject into focus quickly so you don’t miss the shot.

A Dual LED flash is on board for adding more light and the rear camera can also record 4k video.

The 5-megapixel camera is a wide angle lens with an 85 degree field of view so you can get everyone or more of your surroundings in the shot. There is an LED flash and beauty software for editing images and Night Mode makes sure you get great selfies after dark.

The Motorola Moto Z2 Force is a real delight to use and the durable screen, excellent performance and unique photo options will delight any user. The battery is a little smaller than some people may want but a Moto Mod can be purchased for boosting this if necessary.
