LG announces the V10 dual-screen smartphone

The latest release from LG came as a bit of surprise with a new and unique feature yet to be seen on a smartphone. As LG announces the V10 dual screen smartphone we take a look at what it has to offer and what that extra screen actually does.

Dual Screen Smartphone Technology

The LG V10 is the first smartphone to feature dual screens on the front with a large 5.7-inch display and a 2.1-inch always-on display above it.

The smaller display will flash up notifications and allow you to access apps quickly while the bigger display lets you enjoy everything on the big screen.

The aluminium frame and silicone chassis makes the phone feel durable and it measures in at just 8.6mm thick. The weight is a little hefty at 192g but the additional screen and overall feel of the phone will make you forget the extra weight.

LG V10 Specifications

The LG V10 will be packing Android 5.1 Lollipop which is powered along by the Snapdragon 808 chipset and 4GB RAM. There is 64GB of on board memory along with a microSD card slot so downloading apps or adding music and video to the phone won’t be a problem when it comes to space for everything.

The camera package consists of a 16-megapixel lens on the back featuring laser focus, optical image stabilisation and HD video recording. The front facing camera is a 5-megapixel dual camera setup for getting more people into your group selfies and videos.
