LG Announces Optimus L Series

LG has officially announced the Optimus L smartphone range, with three handsets confirmed so far in the form of the L7, L5 and L3.

The range will feature a square thin metallic design (rather reminiscent of the Lumia range) with a textured back panel that looks to have taken style tips from the latest LG Prada phone. The handsets will also include a “floating mass display” that is designed to be closer to the surface making it look as if it is almost floating.

The L7 and L5 will both run Android Ice Cream Sandwich and will have a 4.3-inch and 4-inch displays respectively and should be heading our way within the next few months.

The L3 is more like the mini version in the series with a 3.2-inch display and will include Android 2.3 and is expected to hit our shelves in March.

The Optimus L series will debut at the MWC next week so stay tuned for further information on performance and usability.
