The innovative design includes specialised structures that are designed to distribute temperature, removing hot spots so it feels comfortable to hold and this feature also reduces power consumption.

Along with the high-end built and impressive screen the Huawei Honor 7 boasts a microSD card slot for cards up to 128GB, 3GB RAM and an Octa-core 2.2GHz processor. There is a handy digital assistant key on the side so you can access voice commanded features easily and the multi-function sensor on the back of phone for security and touch activated functions.


The sensor is a next generation fingerprint scanner and it recognises both touch and movement allowing you to activate and use phone features with different actions. Sliding you finger down the sensor will open the notification bar and a quick double tap will clear notifications for you.

Other movements will activate the camera, answer incoming calls or switch off alarms and with fingerprint activated guest modes you can choose which data is available to each user keeping your private information secure.


Android Lollipop is on board offering plenty of new apps and content on Google Play and there is a dual-band Wi-Fi antenna as well as 4G capabilities.


Huawei has added some extra features over the Android Lollipop OS with the EMUI 3.1 interface on board including enhanced one-handed mode features and the Sports Health app for tracking calories, steps, distance and motion for helping you keep on track with fitness goals.

Huawei Cloud Storage allows you to share files and folders with other users and the Huawei Music app puts over one million lossless music tracks at your fingertips.


The battery delivers up to 23 hours of talk time or up to 8 hours of internet browsing and the fast charging battery can be brought back to full power in just 1 hour and 25 mins.

The 20-megapixel camera lens is housed behind sapphire glass and the fantastic resolution delivers impressive shots and detailed photos. Phase detection auto focus works in a tenth of a second to deliver clarity and there are plenty of effects and shooting modes to allow you to create magical photos.


The six second long exposure and Image Signal Processing deliver impressive night time photos and you can choose from light painting, gourmet mode to time-lapse photography. The shutter can be voice activated or used with the sensor on the back so you can easily capture the perfect shot.

The front facing camera is just as impressive with an 8-megapixel resolution and advanced features to make photos better than ever. The f2.4 aperture and large pixel size allows much more light in making for fantastic low light shots and the wide angle lens lets you get more people into the shot.

Huawei has gone all out with the Honor 7 and even though this brand may not be as established in the UK as Samsung or Apple their latest offering is something to seriously consider. The high quality build and top-end features will make this appeal to many users and it is bound to cost less than the more established manufacturers flagships making it a win win for UK mobile fans.
