HTC Nexus 2016 leaked in benchmark tests

The release of the Nexus phones for 2016 has been subject to various leaks and rumours and the latest appears to show the benchmark listing for the HTC-made Nexus smartphone. In previous years the phones have been made by various manufacturers with the last pair made by LG and Huawei, however it looks like the Google flagship smartphones will both be coming from HTC.

There is said to be two Nexus handsets heading our way this year with one, code-named Sailfish, being the update of the LG Nexus 5X and the other Nexus code-named the Marlin. Both phone will be made by HTC this year and the latest leak shows the benchmark tests for the HTC Nexus Marlin.

The leaked information so far shows the HTC Marlin will have a 3,450mAh battery and a 12-megapixel camera long with an 8-megapixel selfie lens. The Nexus 2016 will be released in a 32GB and 128GB version and will feature a QHD display, USB Type C port and a fingerprint scanner

The leaked benchmark test shows us that the phone will be a powered by a quad-core 1.6Ghz chip and will have 4GB RAM and the latest Android N straight out of the box.

The official release date for the Nexus 2016 has not been confirmed yet but it is expected to be announced in the final quarter of the year, so we have a small wait for confirmation on specifications.
