EE Confirms Next Cities to Get 4G

EE launched its network in October with superfast 4G coverage in 10 UK cities with that coverage extending to 16 locations by the end of this year. Now EE has announced the next phase of their coverage plan with another 17 cities adding to the network by March 2013.

If you are a lucky enough to live in Bradford, Chelmsford, Coventry, Doncaster, Dudley, Leicester, Luton, Newport, Reading, Rotherham, St Albans, Sunderland, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, Watford, West Bromwich or Wolverhampton then you can choose to join the network next year.

Should you not live in any of these areas you will need to wait a little longer to get your 4G fix as EE has committed to reaching 98 percent coverage by the end of 2013.

As well as adding to the cities covered by their 4G services EE has confirmed they will continue to improve their 4G network so existing users can enjoy better connections and faster speeds.

EE is also providing enhanced 3G services on its network with a DC-HSPA signal available to 40 percent of the UK population which offers up speeds of up to 42Mbps. This gives EE customers a decent network speed to fall back on should you wander our of a 4G area.
