BlackBerry may be a struggling smartphone manufacturer but that hasn’t stopped them producing a premium phone with a hefty price tag.

The Porsche Design P’9982 is made from stainless steel and has a glass weave back panel that is covered in Italian leather and the Porsche Design logo is prominent on the upper front panel of the phone.

The price? £1450. I will let you pick yourself up before I continue…. all good OK. So what else do you get other than the Porsche Design logo for that? Each phone comes with a certificate of authentication and an exclusive BlackBerry pin so you know are in a special club as a Porsche Design owner. There is also a grey wallpaper on board as well as a Porsche Design ringtone and special content in App World.

The specifications of the Porsche Design P’9982 are pretty much the same as the BlackBerry Z10 so you get a 4.2-inch display, 8-megapixel camera and 1.5GHz dual-core processor along with 2GB RAM but the Porsche Design P’9982 also has a much bigger on board memory at 64GB.

Initially the phone will go on sale today exclusively in Harrod’s with roll out to other retailers later, however if you like the phone but not the price then you can opt for the BlackBerry Z10 and save yourself a few quid.
