We don’t have too long to wait until the next iPhone release as the launch is set for 9th September. The rumour mill has been abuzz with what to expect from Apple on their next flagship device, including the possibility of two devices. It is expected that we could see a 4.7-inch iPhone as well as 5.5-inch one which would put in among the existing phablet market.

The iPhone 6 will have the latest iOS 8, as seen at WWDC 2014, so we can expect a whole host of new features including more functions for Siri and enhanced notifications.

As with any Apple release there has been a few leaked images but not much in the way of really letting us know what we will get so we shall have to wait for the event this month to get all the juicy details.

UPDATE: The iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus are now confirmed and are available for pre-order.

The Nokia Lumia 730, aka Superman, has been talked about for a while and it is expected that the phone will have a 4.7-inch screen as well as an enhanced front facing camera making this a possible favourite among selfie fans.

Details have been a little thin on the ground with some images showing the phone screen stating that Debian Red software is on board. The Microsoft and Nokia event at the IFA 2014 in Berlin is where we expect this phone to break cover so we will soon see what Nokia has in store for us.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Phablet fans have taken to the Galaxy Note series with enthusiasm and the next incarnation of the Note is expected to be launched at the IFA 2014 in Berlin.

The image leaks and specification rumours have been numerous on this phone with so we know a lot about this phone before Samsung make it official.

The phone will have a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor and 4GB RAM making for a pretty powerful smartphone.

It is expected the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have a 16-megapixel camera on the back and the stylus will of course be present too.

UPDATE: The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has now been officially revealed and will be available to order from October.

These are just the top phones that we are waiting to make an appearance in 2014 there are of course many more to come including the Nokia Lumia 830, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha and the Motorola Moto X+1 to name a few.
