Apple WWDC2012 Kicks Off Today

So today the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) kicks off in San Francisco, and this Apple event has had much speculation flying around as to what will be revealed.

The most likely reveal of the event will be the new iOS 6 system with anticipated better syncing with apps and perhaps more functionality across devices. Better Facebook integration is expected with such features as posting photos directly from the phone gallery and a FB “like” button to the App store for apps ratings.

Another expected move is the announcement of Apple developing its own mapping app, dropping Google Maps in favour of its own system with 3D mapping and traffic functions.

Siri could be taking the leap from the iPhone 4S to iPad devices and more iCloud functionality is expected to be announced.

The most anticipated iPhone product launch is not likely to happen during this event, although it has been rumoured possible. We may have to wait a bit longer for the iPhone 5 as the 4S hasn’t had its full run on retailers’ shelves yet and Apple do love to give their latest iPhone an event all to itself.

Whatever will be revealed or not the world is watching the WWDC2012 and the full agenda is available on the Apple Developer website.

So will we see the iPhone 5 launched today? What are you excited about for this event?
