An in-depth preview on the Nokia C5-03

Set for release by the end of this year we see another fashionable smartphone, the Nokia C5-03 announced. The body simply oozes style with a selection of two-tone colour schemes and the nHD display stands up to the visual test. This well thought out phone allows for up 20 contacts to be placed onto the homescreen for quick access to their details and message history. A Facebook icon can also be moved into a prominent position for social network access and you can even share you location with your Facebook & Twitter friends.

The inexpensive price tag is even more impressive when features such as GPS walk & drive navigation with Ovi Maps and Ovi Music/Store access are taken into account.

The 5-megapixel camera has a fixed focus, 4x digital zoom, geo-tagging and video capture at 15fps. Nokia has generously thrown in a 2GB MicroSD card so storage is no issue, but any budding amateur photographers out there can expand the memory further with cards up to a value of 16GB.

The pre-mentioned nHD display really does take the visuals to the next level with a resolution of 360×640 pixels, but on top of this it is the functional gateway that makes the C5-03 a joy to use. The built-in accelerometer switches the image from portrait to landscape views as the handset is rotated and the resistive touchscreen surface even offers handwriting recognition.

Connectivity and communication formats are all covered with 3.5G HSDPA & Wi-Fi Web browsing, wireless Bluetooth, SMS, email and instant messaging. There is also plenty of entertainment on offer with stereo speakers making the most of video/music files and a selection of challenging games.

The Nokia C5-03 is both functional and fun so if you love Nokia smartphones then keep your eyes firmly fixed on our blog or follow us on Twitter and be the first in line when we announce that the C5-03 has landed!
