Alcatel has long been known to deliver budget phones with good features and they have now added to their portfolio of affordable devices. The Alcatel Idol 5S has been announced and this phone can be bought at an even lower price if you go for the Prime Exclusive edition.

The phone has plenty to like for the price with a big 5.2-inch display that features 2.5D curved glass while under the hood there is a Snapdragon 625 processor and 3GB of RAM.

The Idol 5S has 32GB of on board memory and there is a microSD card slot for adding more. The camera package is decent with a 12-megapixel snapper on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie camera with flash.

The device has a 2620mAh battery and stereo speakers on the front for a decent audio experience when listening to music or watching videos.

Amazon Prime Exclusive

The phone is currently available for pre-order through Amazon’s American site for $279.99 but there is a big $80 discount if you choose the Amazon Prime Edition of the Alcatel Idol 5S.

The Amazon Prime Edition will show ads on the lock screen, so if you don’t mind a few ads then you can take the discounted version of this already cheap phone.
