A trio of tough phones!

JCB has launched a selection of new rugged handsets that are ideal for tough working environments, extreme sports enthusiasts and the accident prone individual that simply can’t make a handset last the length of a contract!

The first new release is the Tradesman, a water and dust resistant phone that floats on water making it an ideal choice for those who work in the docks etc. as well as for boating enthusiasts that don’t want to lose their phone should it fall overboard. The Tradesman’ feature list includes SMS messaging, Bluetooth and a torch.

The Sitemaster is probably the toughest of all rugged handsets with pressure testing to 1 ton and capable of resisting a drop onto concrete from a 2-metre height. A practical set of features that match its on-site focus include a laser pointer, torch, Bluetooth, SMS messaging and a large 2-inch colour display.

The Pro-Talk is the last of the new releases but probably the most technologically advanced with features such as GPRS Web browsing and a 2-megapixel camera. The Pro-Talk also boasts an 8 channel 2-way radio, dual SIM card slots for managing both personal and work telephone numbers and quad-band roaming for use overseas.

All three handsets boast the JCB black and yellow colour scheme along with a JCB start-up screen, JCB ringtones and are built to military specifications.
