The Windows 10 smartphones are expected to coincide with the launch of the new OS this summer and there seems to be two phones heading our way.

So far we have heard of the phones under the code names of Cityman and Talkman with various rumours and leaks giving us a glimpse of what to expect.

The leaked specifications have the smartphone code named Cityman as the leader of the pack with a 5.7-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2530 and a 64-bit octa-core processor. There will be 32GB of on board storage and 3GB RAM as well as a microSD card slot for adding more space. The rear camera will have a resolution of 20-megapixels with the front snapper being a 5-megapixel lens.

Microsoft Talkman

The phone code named Talkman is a more modest version of the flagship Cityman with a 5.2-inch touchscreen and this device will have a hexacore processor.

The rest of the features and specifications match the Cityman giving a 20-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera and 3GB RAM.

Executive Vice President of Microsoft Stephen Elop spoke about flagship phones at the MWC 2015 so it seems these are the ones he hinted at.

The company will be focusing on new ways to port apps from Android and iOS so along with these new phones and the latest Windows 10 OS Microsoft look to be making a strong play into the market this year so we shall have to see how they do with sales compared to the other big players.
