The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is finally released in a traditional black colour scheme and bolsters the appeal of this handset now it is sat next to the original white model. The refined looks ooze quality and the Xperia X8 is clearly focused on communication and music.
Emails, instant messages and even Social Network updates are collated and placed into a continuous timeline in one convenient location. This really makes good sense with so many different messaging formats available in today’s market. Next up is a powerful music system that boasts Mega Bass, which enriches the sound quality with a more true to life range of deep tones. TrackID music recognition is also on board along with PlayNow downloads, Stereo Bluetooth and a FM radio.
All the other features you would expect are all included from a 3-megapixel camera to 3D gaming and a range of Google services that come with the Android OS.
Tariff wise, Orange are offering a full range of options starting with 50 anytime minutes and unlimited text messaging at £15pm and finishing with a massive 3000 minutes and unlimited text messages for £70pm.
We have also heard on the grapevine that a successor to the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini is in the works, so maybe we’ll see a new compact smartphone launch soon, possibly named the Xperia X12 Mini?
