Sony is continuing to add to the Xperia family with the announcement of the Sony Xperia tipo and Xperia tipo dual on their YouTube channel.
The Xperia tipo is compact and modest with a 3.2-inch touchscreen protected by scratch-resistant mineral glass and an 800MHz processor. Android 4.0 (Ice cream sandwich) will be on board from launch and there is a 3.2-megapixel camera on board as well as a memory card slot for expanding the phone memory. Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth under the hood and GPS is included for navigation assistance.
The Sony Xperia tipo dual sports all the same specs as above but is also the first dual-SIM offering from Sony. There is a dedicated button for switching between SIM cards and the handset can be set to automatically switch between SIM’s at certain times of the day.
As before there is no confirmation on a launch date or pricing, but as information becomes available we will let you know.
