Sony delivered an impressive phone when they gave us the Xperia Z3 and here in our Sony Xperia Z3+ review we discover an even better phone.
Sony Xperia Z3+ Design
Sony has always given us something a little special when it comes to design and the Z3+ is no exception with a rounded aluminium frame measuring just 6.9mm thick and a tempered glass front.
The 5.2-inch IPS display is nestled into the frame and looks stunning and the phone comes in either copper, black, blue or white.
Sony Xperia Z3+ Features
The 5.2-inch IPS display includes TRILUMINOS and X-Reality for amazing colours and the screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels gives sharp, clear graphics.
The phone is dust and waterproof so you can rinse it off if it gets dirty and the phone is packing a 64-bit octacore processor and 3GB RAM. These features all combine to make for an impressive performance when running multiple apps or enjoying HD video giving this phone a thumbs up for entertainment.
Android 5.0 is on board giving you access to Google Play including a new section of offline games for enjoying game play when out of a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The top features continue with 4G capability and Wi-Fi with MIMO giving you up to 50 percent faster speeds when compared with normal Wi-Fi technology.
Sony has always given us a good music experience on their smartphones and the Sony Xperia Z3+ continues the trend with Clear Bass, Hi-Res Audio and a Digital Sound Enhancement Engine for superior sounding music.
Sony has included Chromecast and Miracast for screen mirroring and PS4 Remote Play lets you take the gaming with you around the house, separate DUALSHOCK4 controller needed.
The 2,930mAh battery delivers plenty of juice with up to 91 hours of music playback or 9 hours of HD video playback.
Sony Xperia Z3+ camera
The Sony Xperia Z3+ camera is a 20.7-megapixel lens with a f2.0 aperture for superior performance even in low light conditions. The camera has been enhanced further with a number of functions to make capturing the perfect shot easy with Superior Auto that will recognise 52 different scene types (20 scene types on the front camera) and adjust various settings to suit.
For those that love to share their meals with followers on Facebook and Instagram there is Gourmet mode and other shooting modes include Style Portrait, Sound Photo, Panorama Shot and many more. The camera can record 4k video allowing you to enjoy your recorded live action on your 4k TV in all its glory and SteadyShot will ensure smooth recording.
The front facing 5-megapixel camera has a 25mm wide-angle lens so you can get more of your friends into your selfie shots and there are lots of editing options and filters to add so you can edit the photo before your share it.
The Sony Xperia Z3+ may not have a new name giving you the impression that it has not moved on from the Z3 but this is simply not true. Sony has given this phone all the latest technology available so if you are looking for a new smartphone this has all you could need and more and the style and waterproof and dustproof chassis make it even more appealing.
