Asus Zenfone 4 Max camera

The dual camera on the Asus Zenfone Max 4 is made up of a 13MP PixelMaster lens with a f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP wide angle lens. The wide angle lens on the phone worked really well when using Panorama mode or for getting big groups in the shot.

The wide angle lens actually gives a 200% larger field of view, when compared to a standard smartphone camera. Switching between the two lenses was quick and easy and Phase Detection Auto Focus and EIS (Electronic Image Stabiliser) made sure the photo and video results were excellent.

There are a few different shooting modes with some more unusual ones such as 53MP Super Resolution, GIF Animation and 140° Selfie Panorama.

The 8MP selfie camera includes an LED flash and this worked well to illuminate selfies naturally. Perfect selfie results are helped along with live beautification options that manage skin tone and make other changes for the best shot.

Verdict

The superb display, high-quality feel and excellent camera make the Asus Zenfone 4 Max a great device overall. The affordable price adds, even more, appeal to this excellent smartphone.
