The Samsung Unpacked Event has given us a look at what we have been speculating about for a while now, the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
The follow up to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has seen a number of innovations which are bound to impress users and the phablet has a 13-megapixel camera with tons of feautres for capturing great photos. The camera has a high CRI/LED flash and Smart stabiliser for enhanced photos in low light conditions. The large screen works with the S Pen as seen on previous models and there is a 1.9-megapixel camera on the front for video chatting or taking a selfie.
Hardware-wise the phone is packing 3GB RAM and a powerful 2.3GHz quad-core prcoessor on the LTE version or a 1.9GHz Octacore processor on the 3G version.
Some nifty features of the Galaxy Note 3 include Pen Window which is a new take on multitasking with the ability to open up a new window whilst keeping your existing task open. Multi Vision is a new features which lets you use multiple devices to create one large image.
Samsung Galaxy Gear
The Galaxy Gear Smartwatch has been the subject of many rumours and now we finally get an official look at this wearable technology. The watch will be made mostly of steel and is easy to use with swipe movements to access the features of the device. Smart Relay lets you sync the watch with your smartphone so you can see messages and pictures on the bigger screen of your phone.
The Samsung Galaxy Gear handlies multitasking easily and you simply hold the watch up to your ear to make calls as you would with a traditional phone. The watch has a built in camera which is accessed by simply swiping down the watch display so you can quickly capture the moment. The watch has a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED screen and includes a built-in pedometer for the health conscious and up to 25 hours of battery life.
