With the end of CES 2012 (Consumer Electronics Show) and the upcoming MWC (Mobile World Conference) at the end of February the beginning of the year delivers many new phones for us to lust over. So which manufacturer will win the most coveted crown of the best mobile of 2012?
Well there are many competitors and not all entries are in yet as we should expect to see at least a few new handsets at the MWC, however there has been a clear winner at the CES event. The Nokia Lumia 900 was officially announced and with the impressive display of features and power we think this phone is definately one to consider as the best smartphone of 2012.
Whilst the launch of the Nokia Lumia 800 didnt exactly deliver the impressive sales Microsoft and Nokia had hoped for the Lumia 900 could be the one to tip the balance for them.
Right now it’s an AT&T exclusive so we may have to wait a while for a UK version but when it does arrive this could be the one that pulls users over from Android handsets.
The impressive 4.3-inch AMOLED ClearBlack display is visually stunning and the processor provides a speedy performance. The 8-megapixel camera includes a Carl Zeiss optics package delivering impressive image capture for a smartphone.
So it may not be quad-core nor does it have somethings we have come to expect, such as an expandable memory, but the Nokia Lumia 900 has the best overall package for a Windows Phone.
So would this handset be your choice as the best phone of 2012? Do you think Nokia has done enough to tempt people away from Android and Apple phones? Who do you think will produce the best mobile phones in 2012?
