The Nokia Lumia range has now been officially expanded with the latest announcement from Nokia at the MWC showcasing the affordable Lumia 610.
This latest phone has a funky design and is the most affordable Lumia handset to date and is aimed at the younger end of the smartphone market. The phone has a 3.7-inch display and includes Internet Explorer and Xbox Live gaming as well as social networking made easy with mobile, email, Facebook and Twitter contacts all in one place.
The lower price tag was achieved with a tweaked version of Windows Phone 7.5 that allows the handset to have a less powerful processor but still deliver the Windows Phone performance enjoyed on other phones.
The phone will be released in four colours, white, cyan, magenta and black and access to the Windows Market provides plenty of options for new apps to personalise the handset.
Useful apps included straight out of the box include Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive and Nokia Public Transport and Nokia has also announced Nokia Reading. The new integrated reading hub makes reading easier and faster and includes an extensive catalogue of reading material as well as the option to access content offline.
The Nokia Lumia 610 completes the Lumia range giving an option for all budgets and this budget Windows Phone should be hitting the UK within the next couple of months.
