Nokia Launching Windows 8 Phones In September

Nokia are set to launch the next generation of Windows 8 phones at their Nokia World event which is happening on the 5th and 6th September.

Nokia used the same platform for launching the original Lumia range and with the Lumia 900 at the top end of the range failing to make the splash that they had hoped Nokia will be wanting to pull out all the stops with these new phones.

The launch date should see the latest Lumia range in the shops in time for Christmas and it looks that Nokia is mainly focused on the US market with these phones although they will be heading to the UK too.

The hardware and the OS will need to be impressive to take focus away from the Android market domination and the launch date of just before the expected 12th September iPhone 5 launch could ne Nokia’s way to gain a little momentum before Apple show us their latest offering.
