Well we do love our rumours in the mobile industry and no matter how good a secret you think you have it seems virtually impossible to keep a lid on it. We have heard rumours about the iPad Mini for a while now with everyone surmising the specs of the little sibling to the iPad 3 (otherwise simply known as the New iPad). One of the main points for debate was the launch date with the 23rd of October being the hot favourite.
Yet again the rumours have some truth in them with Apple now sending out invites to an event on the 23rd October claiming they have “a little more to show” us. The invite is, as usual, vague but we can assume that the “little” iPad will be on the agenda along with some likely software updates to the iOS system.
All speculation seems to point to the iPad Mini sporting a 7.85-inch display with Wi-Fi and a possibility of a 3G version too but the rest is still very much up for debate.
With the huge success of the iPad 2 and the New iPad, Apple will be hoping to take the smaller tablet market by storm with their iPad Mini.
Pricing and features are likely to be confirmed at the event so we will let you have the info as soon as it’s confirmed.
