The Apple event took place last night and as expected the tech giant gave us all the juicy details of the iPad Mini and surprised us with the launch of the iPad 4.
The iPad 4 has been announced only months after the launch of the third generation iPad, aka the New iPad, with this latest version sporting a powerful A6X chip for twice the graphical performance and twice the power of the previous chip. The iPad 4 also has increased 4G coverage meaning it will be compatible with the EE network so now you can actually get to enjoy a 4G service on your iPad.
The iPad 4 sports a 9.7-inch Retina display, next generation image stabiliser processor and FaceTime HD camera as well as the Lightning connector so you will have to update your existing accessories should you switch to the iPad 4. The iPad will be sold in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + 4G models.
At a mere seven months apart, users who have paid out for the New iPad may be feeling slightly sick at the thought of an updated version so soon and at very similar pricing this is not likely to go down well with existing New iPad fans.
The announcement of the fourth generation iPad surprised many people as the New iPad has hardly had the usual shelf time before the next big thing is announced – do you have the New iPad? Do you think Apple is updating the iPad too quickly?
