INQ are known for their fun mobile phones that specialise in social networking and have today launched two new smartphones, the INQ Cloud Touch and the INQ Cloud Q, made entirely with Facebook in mind.
INQ are said to have worked closely with Facebook to deliver the ultimate Facebook mobile experience for 18-28 year old users. Although many smartphones have the ability to integrate Facebook the INQ device is more about Facebook than it is a phone by giving users access to the newsfeed, favourite friends, Chat and Places on the homescreen. Facebook have taken over other typical phone features including changing the name of an address book to a ‘friend list’.
The Cloud Q is a little boxy looking for my liking and isn’t going to be available until around September so the Cloud Touch is the main talking point. It’s obviously suited to a younger audience with its looks and integrated features and I’m guessing it will come at a lower price tag to suit those on a paper round.
This comes as a study by Marketing Week has shown that a youngster’s most prized possession is their mobile phone, with them wanted to access everything on it whilst out and about. Unfortunately the Cloud Touch won’t hit the shelves until April but we believe it is going to be a very popular mid-range device to compete against the likes of the Samsung Wave and Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini range.
