The Huawei P10 is coming soon to the UK and Huawei has once again teamed up with Leica, to co-engineer this photography focused smartphone.
Huawei P10 camera
The Huawei P10 features a new Leica Dual Camera 2.0, which improves upon the photography attainable on its predecessor, the Huawei P9.
Once again, the focus is on creating artistic portrait shots in the Leica image style. The 20MP Monochrome and 12MP RGB camera lenses gives hybrid zoom, along with 3D facial detection for creating studio-like portrait enhancements and dynamic illumination.
Wide aperture photography can be used to create natural bokeh effects with depth-of-field technology making portraits clearer, sharper and more beautiful. Four-in-one hybrid autofocus gives speed and precision and video recording at 4K quality is also possible.
The new 8MP front camera captures two times more light, improving the results of selfies. The Huawei P10 camera senses group selfies and automatically switches to a wide angle shot, when more people enter the frame.
The Huawei P10 is being manufactured with three different finishes. The first has a hyper diamond-cut finishing that adds colour and strength, while enhancing brightness. The other two finishes includes high gloss and sandblast and in all cases there is a nice combination of metal and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The design has rounded curves, a slim 7mm body and an overall weight of 145g. The 5.1” display has Full HD resolution and is the gateway to the Android 7.0 Nougat experience.
The fingerprint sensor on the Huawei 10 has moved from the back and is now hidden beneath the front screen glass. Huawei believes that this will make navigation easier, with a long press sending you back to the home screen, a short press taking you back one step and a swipe left or right giving access to the apps overview screen.
The super-fast Kirin 960 2.4GHz octa-core processor is paired up with 4GB RAM and the Huawei Ultra Memory feature. This uses machine learning to reserve memory for the apps you use most, increasing speed and response times.
A high capacity 3,200mAh battery is included as standard and this supports Huawei SuperCharge technology for fast and safe charging.
Overall, the Huawei P10 is an excellent premium smartphone, but watch out for the Huawei P10 Plus, which will cost more but will also bring with it even higher specs.
