The Honor division of Huawei has announced that the Honor 6X will now be coming to the UK. Originally released a few months ago in China, the popular Honor 6X will be priced from £224.99 SIM free or for free on a two year contract. The Honor 6X will arrive on 10th January 2017.
Honor 6X camera
The Honor 6X camera is a standout feature that uses dual lens camera technology. Sitting one above the other, the 12MP lens and 2MP lens can be used to create a professional bokeh effect.
The wide aperture range, from f/0.95 to f/16, allows for pro-grade shallow depth of field background blurring effects, with refocusing taking place after the image has been captured.
A 0.3 seconds ultra-fast focus is achieved through the use of Phase Detect Auto Focus and the Sony IMX386 sensor. This also makes it possible to capture colourful high definition photos, during both day and night.
Shooting modes includes food mode, perfect selfie, panorama, time-lapse mode and best photo. The 8MP selfie camera has a 77-degrees wide angle lens and employs auto portrait touch-up software.
Honor 6X battery
The Honor 6X has a high capacity 3,340mAh battery with 5V/2A fast charging. The battery will power the phone for 2.15 days for a typical user. For heavy users, the battery should last for around 1.5 days.
Usage wise, the battery can give up to 70 hours of music playback, 11.5 hours of video playback or up to 8 hours of gaming.
Honor 6X display
The Honor 6X has a 2.5D curved and scratch resistant glass front and this houses a 5.5” Full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels / 403 pixels per inch). Viewing is enhanced with a 450nit brightness (1nit equals 1 candle) and an eye comfort mode that filters out blue light in order to tackle eye strain and fatigue.
Honor 6X specifications
The Honor 6X has an 8.2mm thick body made from a metal frosted material. The metallic body can be chosen in either gold, grey or silver. The visual experience is managed by the
EMUI 4.1 user interface and this gives features such as pop-up call and split-screen mode.
On the back of the Honor 6X, there is a third generation fingerprint scanner that can read a fingerprint in just 0.3 seconds. In addition to providing security, the fingerprint scanner can be used to swipe through the photo gallery or make a call or take a selfie, with a simple tap.
Inside of the Honor 6X, there is a Kirin 655 2.1GHz octa-core processor with 16nm technology and 3GB RAM. The processor works with a Smart File System and together, these permit web browsing, gaming, music playback or the running of multiple apps, all at the same time.
Content, such as photos, videos and new apps, can be stored on the 32GB internal memory. Should the need arise, then the Honor 6X can house a memory card of up to 128GB.
In a nutshell, the Honor 6X is an inexpensive buy with its features and specifications far outweighing its price tag.
