INQ1 Social Networking Phone

The INQ1 was recently given the honor of the best mobile handset award at the GSMA awards and there are many great reasons why. The INQ1 is dedicated to social networking  and is designed to keep you in touch with your friends wherever you are. Facebook, Skype and Windows Live Messenger are always connected to make sure you never miss a thing. A little feature that I love is that you can merge your contacts from Facebook, Skype and Windows Live Messenger which means that when you receive a call from a Facebook friend the INQ1 displays their latest facebook profile picture. The fantastic bit about this phone is the price. With an RRP of only £79.99 and some great contracts that include unlimited browsing, this handset really is great for those who don’t want to spend all of their pocket money at once.

Coming Soon…

Due for release at the end of September are two great social networking phones that are going to give the INQ1 a run for it’s money. The Samsung S3650 Corby is made for those who love to customize their gadgets and ensure they never miss out on the latest gossip on Facebook. The distinctly shaped Corby comes with two extra ‘Fashion Jackets’ which are bright interchangeable rear covers to make sure you don’t get bored of your cool handset to easily. Upload photos and videos directly to YouTube, Flickr and Picasa and update your status on all your favourite social networking sites with ease on the 2.8 inch touchscreen. Also due for release soon is the Nokia 7705 Twist which allows you to twist and turn your handset in all kinds of directions on a chassis that neatly packs together to form a nice little pocket friendly handset. The phone features a full QWERTY keyboard, 3 mega pixel camera and support from email, IM, MMS and SMS. This cute little social networking phone also allows you to customise your handset for incoming calls with its glowing light ring that changes colour depending on who is calling.

These three handsets are perfect is you love to network on the go and the best bit is… they are super affordable!

The First Indistrutable phone

With the release of the JCB Tough and the Samsung M110 we thought that the mobile phone market couldn’t get tougher….we were wrong.

The Land rover S1 is said to be the ‘worlds first ever indestructible phone’. It can survive dust, shock, heat and being dropped down the loo. Perfect if you work outdoors a lot, work in hot places or are just very clumsy and always drop your mobile phone, the Landrover S1 has even been approved for use by the military. This revolutionary handset can withstand temperatures of minus 20c, can be submerged in wtaer and can even make it through a 6 foot drop onto concrete!

With rubber coating which gives it that indestructible appeal the handset also includes a waterproof camera with flash, gps system and an internet browser…not bad for a phone that will be made for you if you have ever dropped your phone down the toilet. It may not be very pretty but it is one of the latest mobile phones.

We think the Landrover S1 will save people alot of money as research has shown that £157 million is spent every year replacing broken phones

Get Carried away with the Samsung Jet!

The Samsung Jet is described as ’smarter than a smartphone’ and it has been announced today that it will be available to 3 network, two weeks after the exclusive launch with Vodafone.

Expected for availability in mid July the Samsung Jet offers fantastic sound and image quality on the 3.1 inch screen which packs four times the standard resolution seen on most handsets. The handset is run on a 800MHz application processor which offers more power, fast and responsive touch screen and excellent applications.

The Jet also comes complete with a 5 mega pixel camera, built in GPS for finding your way around and DivX & XviD for viewing and downloading videos in DVD player standards.  The touch sensitive display complete with Samsung’s new TouchWiz 2.0 user interface makes this handset perfect for web browsing with Ad blockers and Online widgets onboard.

Even if it is smarter than any smart phone it still packs the general features including Microsoft Exchange for emails and Microsoft task manager to keep you organised.

A great all round phone, we can’t wait for the landing of the Jet! If you cant wait till the end of July check out the Samsung Pixon which comes complete with 8 mega pixel camera and a good web browser.
