A Rising Star!

Our most popular handset list sees a newcomer rising to the very top with the newly released HTC Desire HD taking the place of its popular predecessor, the HTC Desire.

What’s changed?

Well, the old 3.7-inch display is replaced with a larger 4.3-inch S-LCD display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels and Adobe Flash 10.1 is included to ensure no Website is out of bounds, The battery is more powerful with the standby time increasing from 360 hours to 490 hours & the talk time rises from 6 hours 40 minutes to 9 hours and 15 minutes. Another major improvement comes in the camera department with old 5-megapixels being replaced with a higher quality 8-megapixel resolution. Enhanced camera features now include a dual LED flash, face detection, HD video capture at 720p and built-in effects such as depth of field & vignette (a professional effect that heightens the brightness in the centre of the picture and lowers it around the edges for a fading away effect).

So, that’s the improvements, what’s new?

There is now Dolby Mobile and SRS surround sound effects that provide a richer sound to music & video files and further entertainment is on hand with an ebook reader application. Emails can be managed more effectively with one unified inbox, whist the GPS navigation software delivers maps with zero wait, zero dead spots & zero data roaming fees.

Deal wise, the HTC Desire HD can be picked up for free with a £25pm line rental that gives an impressive 600 free minutes & unlimited text messaging on a 24 month contract. We can easily see this phone sitting at the top for the remainder of the year, so there’s no reason to hesitate in bagging yourself a bargain!
