Dior phone
Dior phone

If your looking for the ultimate in mobile bling we dont think you could beat the Dior latest phone. The fashion giants have teamed up with Swarovski to bring the fashion pack this stunning handset.

The new line of ’boutique’ handsets were manufactured in partnership with Modelabs and features a touch screen display, 2 mega pixel camera and a god send for women the mini-phone extender named My Dior. Nokia & Rim to launch application sites!

Apple Iphone has took the lead in the application race and many are beginning to release that when this phone was released in 2007 it was going to be a lot more than a phone synced with an ipod.

Applications are little pieces of software that allow the user to do everything from have live flight times at the touch of a button to a restaurant finder which is activated by shaking the handset. They cost anything from 60p upwards, many are even free to download. Application developers are said to be making millions from these and it is no surprise others are desperate to catch up.It is time for the other phone giants to catch up and Nokia and RIM are next on the books.

Nokia are due to be launching an application store where users can download and install new software to their handset, the Ovi Store.  Ovi is described as the easiest way to stay up to date, keep in touch and share the things you love anywhere, anytime.

Blackberry are launching App World, a great combination of business orientated apps such as spreadsheet editors and stock market trackers as well as producing fun ones such as Tweetberry which allows you to update your twitter account on the go.

The Google android also has many fantastic applications available here are some of my favourites -

  • Shopsavvy – this turns your phone into a barcode and allows you to scan any item..it then displays a price comparison of online shops!
  • My Closet – one for us ladies, upload pictures of all your clothes and you can then plan out your outfits with your phone!
  • Cab4melight – A simple application which gives you the cab numbers in your location…no more waiting around in the cold.

Applications are set to take the world by storm! If you’re buying a new mobile phone why not try one that allows you to download these new applications…your phone could become your new personal stylist, restaurant finder and price comparison tool.

Google Android Cupcake Software

Rumour has it the long awaited Google Android software update is due to be available from April! Great news for all Google fans and Android owners out there the ‘cupcake’ software makes this handset an even better contender for the iphone. We think the name ‘cupcake’ stands for just how tasty this new software is going to be!

Pocketlint have reported that this lovely software will be available from April onwards, this will coincide with the HTC Magic ( Google 2 ) which will probably come downloaded with the software already. Some of the main highlights include the onscreen touch sensitive keyboard, stereo bluetooth and video recording.

Rumour has it will also include Google latitude which is a service that combines cell tower triangulation and GPS which basically lets you know where your friends and family are and passes on your location. One website has described an interesting use for this suggesting a girlfriend could use it to trace where her boyfriend is if he is running late? or where he shouldn’t be! We think it would be most useful when on a night out if you lose your friends or in a big crowd of people at an airport/festival/conference etc.

The Google Android is already a bestseller with its stylish looks, amazing interface and fun features and we are sure this will only excel the sales.

We cant wait for this lovely cupcake to come out of the oven, watch this space!

Nokia 2610 Review

Nokia 2610

Briefly: A simple, user friendly handset…a classic Nokia handset basically made to make calls and send texts!

Great Mobile Phone Deal: Wow this Free Nokia 2610 from Mobiles Please.

If your looking for a good reliable handset with an easy to use interface, light compact and stylish look then the Nokia 2610 could be for you! Design features such as the highly reflective almost mirror like 65 K colour display adds a nice touch to such a basic handset.

This handset when launched was the beginning of the N series and it does have some great features to take note of. The phone is covered with velvety plastic finish which has a rubbery feel which is surprisingly nice to touch plus being a Nokia phone it can handle a few drops. The buttons fit in with the screen with the mirror like feel which again adds a touch of luxury. With a large screen and large buttons the visual experience is enhanced unlike to other low end small phones.

One of the best things about this handset is the battery life which amazingly lasts 3 hours talk time and 300 standby so its perfect if your on the go all the time without a charger. The handset supports Nokia Xpress audio messaging, on the move connectivity with WAP, email and SMS and also supports MP3 ringtones.
