Cheap Phones Sony Ericsson Say

Sony Ericsson, the world number five handset maker has seen pre-tax profits fall so what is to blame? The brand is blaming demand for cheaper mobile phones and fluctuation in currency rates.

With the number of Sony Ericsson mobile phones sold fell from 25.9 to 25.7 million in the same period as last year. As mobile phones get cheaper and cheaper with retailers offering amazing deals with free gifts including laptops is this to blame?
It made a profit of 12 million euros (£9.3m; $16.2m) in the three months to 30 September which means with restructuring costs it has made a 23m euro loss.
It’s not just Sony Ericsson that are feeling the heat, Nokia the world’s largest mobile maker reported a 30% plunge in third-quarter profit after they lost shares due to competitors cutting prices.

With the average price of a mobile phone falling from 116 Euros (approx £92) to 109 Euros (approx £86) will this mean the world top mobile makers will be forced to cut their prices further? For cheap mobile phone deals check out Mobiles please.

Teddyfone - First Child’s Safety Phone !

Child safety is on every parents mind and at Mobilesplease we have the answer. The Teddyfone is the first phone specifically designed for child safety, with over 78 % of children admitting they felt safer with a mobile phone it seems like we could be onto a new craze. Made in the shape of a teddy bear and fully controlled by the parent it will put your mind to rest, plus we doubt many robbers will be on the hunt for a teddy shaped phone !

With limited functionality it is simple, safe and looks like a teddy so its perfect for children from age 3 and up. When the phone is turned on it the led lights in the ears flash as they do when there is an incoming call. This is fantastic as it makes it look even more like a light up toy plus with a height 97mm and width 62mm it is small enough for a child’s palm. It evens come with a cute carrying case which can be placed around the child’s neck so it won’t get lost too easily.

This phone has took every aspect of a child’s safety into account with great features such as-

•    No Screen – meaning children can’t download inappropriate images, ringtones or games and cant be sent them either

•    Only 4 Buttons – These four buttons can be pre-programmed with 4 numbers, mum & Dad and then the other 2 buttons likely to be grandparents and a friend. These provide quick access to stay in touch with the family, avoid misdialling and allow parents to limit call costs.

In Carrying Case

In Carrying Case

•    Child Monitor - a parent activated child monitor is set up by a silent ring tone to the teddyfone which allows the parents to listen to whatever is going on around the child without them knowing.

•    SOS Button – The SOS buttons which are positioned on either side of the teddy when pressed send a emergency message to 3 pre-programmed numbers and enable the one parent to listen to what going on around the child using the Child Monitor.

•    Child Tracking –With GPRS tracking, this allows you to locate you child wherever they are with just a touch of a button.

All these great features are pre-programmed by sending SMS from another mobile phone by simply texting the details of numbers/SOS contacts etc, only allowing authorised users to change these settings. The phone uses Mobile phone technology but thanks to the low emissions it is ten times more eco friendly than any other conventional mobile phone.

The Teddyfone comes Sim free supporting all major networks including T-mobile, Orange and 3 mobile. This also allows parents to cut call costs, for example take advantage of the free calls if both parent and child have Vodafone Sim cards.

It’s safe, basic and extremely cute plus it won’t harm your child health thanks to low emissions, is this what parents everywhere have been looking for…. Would you feel safe at home knowing your child was out alone with this high safety phone?

Samsung F400 Opus

Coming from the collaboration between Samsung and Bang & Olufsen you will have high expectations of this handset.
It is joining in the competitive market of the music phones, following in the footsteps of the iphone and the Nokia 5610 Xpress. It is sure to succeed; it has the best the highest quality sound out of any phone we’ve seen…well heard.

Powered by Bang & Olufsen ICEPower great music features include the music recognition application which recognises any song simply by hearing it and huge external speakers so you can share your fantastic tunes. The speakers are revealed when the dual slide mechanism is released which is a first for Samsung but has been seen already on the Nokia N95 Phone. Plus the slide mechanism means you can choose whether you are using the handset as a phone or a music player.

The music hot wheel is actually like the function on most ipod which allows you to scroll through you music quickly, which is actually quite fun to use!The F 400 music player offers a choice of MP3, AAC and WMA music.

The Samsung F400 Opus Mobile although with a 3 mega pixel camera and video player is a music phone so it is great if you like blasting your tunes.  Other features include Quad Band GSM and GPRS support, a great web browser, picture editing software and a vast range of downloadable games. 400 music player offers a choice of MP3, AAC and WMA music.

It’s certainly not just about it brains it looks fantastic too, with a sleek shiny finish it is amazing how much is packed into this tiny phone.

This is a great handset if you’re looking for a music phone but it has some great basic functionalities which make it a pretty great handset too.

Nokia 5310 XpressMusic

A musical phone in a classic phone’s body…the Nokia 5310 is the perfect balance between style and music.

The first XpressMusic bar-shape handset is amazingly thin…only 10mm and lightweight plus it has serious music power! Is this a challenge for the Sony Ericsson Walkman range?

With a 2 inch screen it isn’t the biggest screen in the world but with 16M QVGA resolution it still provides excellent colour quality. Edging the screen are the music player keys for navigating the software and accessing your songs plus you can play your music for up to 20 hours. The music player accepts all kinds of music formats, has uploaded album art, allows stereo Bluetooth and has up to 4GB memory with a memory card. With all these fantastic features it would be a waste if the sound wasn’t excellent but this is one of the clearest music handsets we have heard. If you looking for a cheap mobile with excellent music features this is the phone for you. With Xpress music you have fast and easy access to all your favourite tunes and it allows you to share them with friends.

With a lot of great music orientated phones the other mobile phone tools aren’t always up to scratch .Nokia have excelled this with a 2 mega pixel camera, EDGE & GPRS ability and a fantastic range of games.

With basic features and an amazing music player this phone will lighten your pockets with the ability to keep you connected plus play your favourite music. No need to carry around a phone and an mp3 player these days! Get great nokia offers at mobiles please.

LG Mobile Prada II

It’s been made official, the LG Prada II mobile phone will bigger ,better plus have a QWERTY keyboard.
Branching out into the smart phone market will be challenging with great handsets already out there such as the Samsung i780 and this new handset is rumoured to cost a lot more than these! Is it worth the money?
Since LG announced that sales of the LG Prada phone crossed one million units last month, mobile enthusiasts expect the second phone in the range to be even better. The k850 has great looks, a great brand behind it and it was the first mobile handset to use full touch screens so the new version will no doubt be fantastic.
The QWERTY keyboard is a first for LG and the silver keyboard with on-screen, call and hang-up buttons with other features including 3G compatibility, a full HTML browser and a 5 megapixel camera.
The drawbacks of the LG Prada I were that it had no 3G compatibility or Wi-Fi and it looks like LG have learned from their mistakes and added these to the new design.
Although very stylish, it is pretty costly at 600 Euros (approx £350) but rumour has it that the Prada designer will get more involved with LG this time around helping out with everything from the design to the ringtones. Although images aren’t out yet this is what we think it will look like judging from the press release.

Set to be released by the end of the year the Prada II is sure to be another great outcome from the collaboration between the experts. Check out the LG k850 Prada with great mobile phone from

Free Mobile Phone Samsung i780

The latest addition to the Samsung smart phone range the i780 is sophisticated, sleek and made for business users. So many offers are availiable on mobiles these days, but the free Samsung i780 mobile is the real deal.
Following successors i450, i550 and the i600i the 3g enabled smart phone combines business features with high performance technology. Aiming to rival the blackberry mobile below screen keyboards the Samsung handset is much slimmer than the classic blackberry which is already a bonus.
With a professional shiny black finish the 2.6 large touch screen the i780 runs on Windows mobiles is larger and heavier than the i600 which is another of the expert’s smart phones.  This is down to the screen which is touch sensitive, has 65K colours and is one of the only devices that has a 320 X 320 screen resolution.  This handset has not been made cheaply with plastic materials with the back cover alone having a leathery texture to it.

The handset is 3G, EDGE, HSDPA, and GPRS capable plus it has a great 2 megapixel camera with 2X digital zoom, Wi-Fi and is powered by Windows mobile 6. The i780 has 3 input options: touch screen, the joystick and the QWERTY keyboard which is perfect for one hand texting you have a lot of choice when roaming around the handset.
Getting down to the features, the best ones include the optical joystick which acts like a mini optical mouse allowing you to hop around the screen, find your way around with the Garmin and Google maps application and download large files in a breeze.

Allowing fast data transfer with 3.6mbps you can keep you corporate database up to date while on the move, sending and receiving emails, enjoying 3G high speed connectivity and browse the internet at ease.
With a massive 128 MB of RAM means that this device is able to run a multitude of applications and hang-ups are kept to a minimum unlike some other windows mobile devices.

To allow it to run all of these applications the handset holds 2 batteries with a time of up to 2 weeks, 2 days and 16 hours.

Not the prettiest smart phone it still has a lot of plus points and is perfect if you’re looking for a professional handset. Make sure you check out the free mobile phone offers at mobilesplease.co.uk

Samsung E840

Glossy, glassy, sophisticated the Samsung E840 is ‘a mirror you can make calls with’ as Samsung’s  quote.

At only 10.6 mm this is for the vain in everyone, now we need to look in to the mirror and ask mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? Well fairest in the mobile industry.

Now its not just a pretty face it with a fantastic multimedia centre crammed in to the tiny frame, with a large bright screen which is perfect for playing videos and browsing the web. Other Multi Media applications include the FM Radio, a music library to store all your favourite tunes and a video recorder.

The handset has a pretty decent camera as well at 2 Mega Pixels with 4 X Digital Zoom and with great mode such as Mosaicshot, Multishot, Night mode, Selfshot & Viewfinder Mode you’re guaranteed to get the a great picture - only down point is there is no flash. All applications are easy to access with the touch screen on the front but it may take a bit of getting used to as they are not as responsive as regular buttons.

Other neat extras include a document viewer that lets you load up Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files from your memory card to view them on the screen. The Memory card can hold up to 2GB which is great for working on the go, without a memory card there is only 70mb.

Downsides include no 3G ability and the battery life isn’t as good as other models with a stand by time of 360 hours compared to the Samsung Opus at 650 hours…

It’s a great looking handset and although the applications could be better, looks always come first!
